Medical Robotics
Crossing boundaries between academic disciplines has become a leading trend in scientific research. Such interdisciplinary endeavors aim to exceed our limits towards innovative and unprecedented achievements. In Medical Robotics, the disciplines of medicine and robotics cooperate in order to find more efficient solutions for patient care and treatment. The modernization of medical procedures, which is the outcome of this collaboration, benefits care-givers, doctors and patients in several respects.
The Medical Robotics department of FUM Center of Advanced Rehabilitation and Robotics Research is co-supervised by Dr. Ali Moradi (Associate Professor of Orthopedics at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and Hand Surgeon) and Dr. Alireza Akbarzadeh (Director of Center and Prof. of Mechanical Engineering at FUM). This unique and collaborative supervision provides interdisciplinary expertise for researchers and students who work on medical robots at the center. This department also closely cooperates with the Orthopedic Research Center at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS).
We welcome researchers and students interested in developing medical robots to pursue their research for pioneering projects in this field in our center.
